Additional Information

The following information is provided to help you understand how to care for your incision and is based on the FDA-cleared product labeling. You should always follow the instructions of your healthcare provider.

Bathing or Showering

Bathe or shower with care while using exofin fusion® for wound care. If directed by your healthcare professional, you may wet your incision or wound that was treated with exofin fusion®, but do not soak or scrub the area. After bathing or showering, blot the area dry with a soft towel and replace any dry protective dressing as directed by your healthcare practitioner.

Monitoring Wound Healing

Do not remove exofin fusion® to check on your wound’s progress. If you notice any swelling, redness, irritation, warmth or pus around the wound or incision site, contact your healthcare professional immediately for a follow-up.

Exercise

Avoid strenuous exercise or any activity that may put additional stress on your wound or incision site while healing with exofin fusion®. Consult with your healthcare professional to determine when you may resume regular activities.

Ointments & Liquids

Topical ointments, liquids, and lotions should not be applied to the wound site while exofin fusion® is in place as they may loosen exofin fusion® from the skin before the wound is completely healed.

Removing exofin fusion®

Do not scratch, pick or peel at exofin fusion® prior to removal. Your healthcare professional will determine when the healing process is complete and exofin fusion® is ready to be removed.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS ABOUT exofin fusion® PLEASE CONTACT YOUR HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL IMMEDIATELY.
